A typhoon is passing through my area now. Strong gusty wind is blowing and trees and flowers are waving now outside. It will continue for a few more hours or so. Today, I will tell you about a memorable experience during the typhoon. Do you know about the eye of a typhoon? Since a typhoon is a cyclone, it has a big whirling structure. And the center of the typhoon has an empty clouded space. It is called the eye of the typhoon. I have experienced the eye of the typhoon once. During hard intensive rain and gusty wind/strong gusts of wind, the rain and wind stopped all of a sudden. The thick clouds had gone and the sunny sky had appeared as if nothing had been happening in the sky. I went outside to enjoy the sunshine and this dramatic weather show. After 10 minutes or so, the same old typhoon situation came back, and we returned to the messy situation again. Extreme weather is often dangerous for human activities; however, sometimes this shows us dramatic, exciting scenery. I was totally overwhelmed by the environmental drama caused by the eye of the typhoon.
