My favorite TV show was Wayne's World, however, I couldn’t watch it because SNL was not broadcasting on Japanese TV. I just watched two movie versions at that time. And I watched some episodes of Wayne’s World after youtube began to be available. Their music related gags, puns and distinctive made up words are totally funny to me like “Party on” “She is a babelonian” “robobabe” “E squeeze me? I bake your powder?” etc. Last week, they returned to SNL for the 40th anniversary special. They showed the top 10 chart on the board in the same old Wayne’s room. They made a parody about Kanye West and Beck in the Grammies saying “Beck is better than Beyonce” with worrisome facial expression and then they said “Kanye, sit down” with a laugh. It was timely and funny satire about the Grammy awards.
