Meeting with Paul McCartney

I have seen Paul McCartney two times in my life. The first time, it was 20 years ago when he came to my town to play 2 gigs at a big indoor baseball stadium. Before the concert day, he went to watch Sumo wrestling. Tt was a private visit, but the TV camera found him and the announcer introduced his appearance at the venue on live national TV/on a live national television broadcast. I was close to the venue and thanks to the broadcasting, I noticed he was there. I was waiting at the backstage door. However, he got out of/left the venue through the front door. Many people noticed him and they got excited about his sudden appearance. I tried to take a picture, but because of the crowd I couldn’t, so I followed his car a bit on foot. Luckily, the car stopped because of the traffic jam at the back side/behind of the venue. There were not so many people around there, so Paul opened the car window and said “Hello” to me and a woman was beside me. We shook his hand and took his picture. The Second time I met him close to the same venue was 2 years ago before the concert day again. Coincidentally I saw another concert on that day right beside that sumo wrestling venue, so I decided to wait for him again. This time a newspaper revealed his visit to the sumo match beforehand. Many people were waiting for him outside and inside the venue. So, I couldn’t talk to him, but I was able to take a picture because he often opens his car window for his fans. That is the picture you see as my classroom icon.
