Whoever controls the media also controls opinions and attitudes of the people and there is little can be done to rectify this.

I think whoever controls the media also can control opinions of people. In this essay, I will discus this with an example. I think 20th century is the era and mass media and it is still going on. Most people in the world access media everyday. And people tend to believe what the media says. After the Fukushima nuclear accident, Japanese mass and micro media revealed how mass media and nuclear industry connect to manipulate people to pro nuclear power plant standpoint. Ironically, the same mass media that connect to manipulate people also have to reveal that truth facing a serious situation of the accident. On the other hand, a lot of micro media like SNS or blogs are vital on the internet. I think that 21st century is the dawn of the micro media, therefore, we were able to get a lot of information through micro media while mass media were hesitating to report the truth of the accident. It is sure we can access more different types of media nowadays; however, people tend to be controlled information they got from media, whether it is mass media or not. Thus, to rectify this situation is difficult. If we can do to deal with it, to check and compare the different information as much as we can to avoid to be manipulated by media.
